About Us
Leadership Matters LLC. was founded in 2006 to support school leaders in meeting the challenges of educating traditionally under-served students to perform at high levels and be prepared for college and/or post secondary opportunities. The Leadership Matters team believes that school leaders and teachers, given the right support, can succeed in educating all of America's children. The economic downturn means even greater pressure on public schools. As budgets shrink the academic, social and emotional needs of our students increase. School leaders need experienced educators, those with a record of improving schools, to develop and review curriculum, provide mentoring and coaching, and work strategically to meet the academic needs of at-risk students.
Leadership Matters will customize services to fit the needs of each school and district in which we work. We invest our experience in their success. Our goal is to work with our partner to deliver a plan that meets their needs by analyzing achievement data, conducting a site visit, and reviewing seminal documents. Then we work with each partner to outline a service support plan to build internal capacity while building the strategic infrastructure that accelerates student achievement.
The core Leadership Matters team has decades of experience in and out of public schools. We invest in smart, experienced successful school-based consultants rather than a vast corporate infrastructure. We are able to secure and contract with excellent practitioners because we are mission-driven and have a broad network of relationships.
